Film on Ramayana – Nitesh Tiwari’s next film after Bawaal would star Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as Lord Rama and Sita, respectively. Following the problems surrounding Om Raut’s Ramayana adaption in Adipurush, Nitesh has now spoken out regarding the film’s casting and stated that he is convinced his film will not upset the viewers.Â
Adipurush, a film directed by Om Raut and released on June 16, was panned for its lines and received boycott calls. The filmmakers were also chastised for the film’s visual effects and clothes. Prabhas’ Raghav (based on Rama), Saif Ali Khan’s Lankesh (Raavan), and Kriti Sanon’s Janaki (Sita) were the primary characters in Adipurush. The dialogues were later altered by the producers.Â

In a new interview with Zoom Entertainment, Nitesh Tiwari discussed developing his Ramayana film amid the problems surrounding Adipurush, saying, “My question is really clear. I am also a consumer of the content that I generate, and if I am not going to offend myself, I am confident that I will not upset others.Â
When asked about the claims that Ranbir and Alia are slated to star in Bawaal, Nitesh would not confirm or refute the reports, but did say, “Very soon.” Om Raut previously expressed support for Nitesh’s Ramayana film, stating that Nitesh is a good filmmaker and that the more Ramayana films done, the better.Â
Meanwhile, Nitesh Tiwari is preparing for the release of his latest film, Bawaal, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. The film’s trailer, which will be available on Prime Video on July 21, drew mixed reviews and perplexed many viewers with its juxtaposition of a love story to World War II.Â
