Dwayne Johnson recently appeared in the ‘Fast X’ end credit scene, which piqued fans’ interest in the franchise’s next instalments.
On Thursday, the ‘Jumanji’ actor released a video in which he revealed that he will reprise his role as Luke Hobbs in the upcoming untitled ‘Fast and Furious’ film series.
He published the video on Twitter with the caption, “HOBBS IS BACK.” And he just got lei’d. Luke Hobbs will return to the Fast & Furious franchise. According to Variety, a US-based media outlet, Chris Morgan, a long time ‘Fast and Furious’ partner, authored the script for the untitled picture. Plot details were not disclosed, but sources close to the arrangement stated the new film will span the gap between the events of the recently released ‘Fast X’ and the impending ‘Fast X: Part II.’
Meanwhile, Johnson was most recently seen as Hobbs in ‘Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw,’ opposite Jason Statham and Idris Elba. He’ll next be seen in ‘Red One,’ which he’ll star in.
The 10th instalment of the mega-hit franchise, ‘Fast X,’ directed by Louis Leterrier, was released on May 19 to rave reviews from fans. The film starred Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Jason Statham, John Cena, Brie Larson, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren, and Cardi B in the key roles.
